Club Captain, Ken Park, held his Captain's Day on Saturday 30th June. Under a cloudless sky, a field of 76 players, the largest for some years, competed for the Captain's Cup and Prize, the Past Captain's Cup and a variety of spot prizes including several nearest the pins, longest drive, drive closest to the white line and a putting contest. The overall winner was Wayne Gair with 40pts; Barry Punton, Captain in 1996, took the past Captain's Cup. The evening entertainment was provided by singing duo GemNI.
